RE: 26 -28 Crown Street, 30-36 Crown Street, and 40-46 Crown Street
We the undersigned wish to express our concerns regarding the condition of these three historic buildings on Crown Street, in the heart of New Haven’s Ninth Square National Register Historic District.
The buildings, which are all listed as contributing structures in the historic district, are open to the weather, and have been subject to profound neglect and extensive internal demolition.
This demolition has been done in the absence of formal or approved plans for the renovation of the buildings. We ask the City of New Haven to take any and all steps necessary to secure and protect these historic resources.
