Protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from the oil industry!

Sen. Frank Murkowski(R-AK) is trying to tack one of the most controversial issues in America onto the Defense Authorization Bill. He wants to drill for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the heart of the last great wilderness ecosystem in North America. We, the undersigned, believe this is a mistake because: Any oil found there wouldn't come on line for 10 years; the refuge contains just 6 months supply of oil;
existing fuel-efficient technologies could save more than that; once it's gone, it's gone forever.
