North Aurora Together supports sustainable development--that means retaining all the tools possible in community development issues.
We the undersigned residents of North Aurora, Illinois, urge our Village Board not to accept any annexation agreement that lacks basic protections against poor development.
Specifically, we urge the Board to consider the following:
(1) Limiting individual lot sizes to 90,000 square feet.
(2) No 24-hour operations.
(3) Limiting heights to less than two stories.
(4) Screening of rooftop mechanics.
(5) No special use, economic incentives, or other priveleges granted in annexation agreement.
(6) No outside storage, particularly of fertilizer, pesticides, or other environmentally harmful products.
(7) Monitoring of ground water throughout construction process.
