The Chinese culture and civilization origins of the traditonal charactor. It is the national treasure & diginity of China.
As a Calligrapher I certainly say that the traditional one has highly aesthetic value than the briefed one.
Please do not always obey & follow what China says. We are really Chinese and love our traditional culture, having 4000 years history. So please do respect our culture.
