We the students of The University of Alabama stand against foul language, hateful speech, and the corruption of our youth.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the song "Dixieland Delight" we feel as if the millennial attitude of select Alabama students has detracted from the moral values that our University was established upon.

By replacing this song with explicitly vulgar connotations, with a song that encourages a spirit of southern pride and tradition, we will be able to overcome this tasteless tradition that tarnishes our school's image. As students we represent what is right in this school and what is right in society.

We need to keep what is most important in mind at all times, being politically correct. Succeeding in football must also be held at a close second. Including myself, I urge all students of The University of Alabama to refrain from vulgar speech during games and to ensure that Bryant-Denny Stadium become a safe haven for our youth and political correctness.

I, a student of The University of Alabama, request aforementioned university, its leadership and policy makers, to replace Dixieland Delight with Cotton Eye Joe.
