We are a group of supporter of Hougang United Football club that compete in our S league. We would like to bring to attention as regards to a recent issue of work permit not being granted to our long time foreign player Mr Diallo Mamadou of Hougang United football club.

Diallo had been with the football club as a foreign player since 2008 and he had made being a role model both as a professional player and good resident of Singapore. As the new season scheduled to start in Feb 14, it came to our surprise that he was not granted a work permit to continue playing in the league.

No reason was provided by the authority for the rejection but we suspect that it could due to his country of origin is African and Singapore authority had a limitation of work permit issued to African. To our understanding, the football club had went through all the proper/official channel to seek for his work permit renewal but to no valid. We, the fan of Hougang United (known as HOOLS), would like to seek your support to sign on this petition and it will be send to the Acting Minister of Manpower, Mr Tan Chuan Jin.

Diallo's footballing talent is not to be wasted as he brighten up the league with his wonderful skill. He had just won the ''Yeo's people choice player award'' in 2013 so it had proven his footballing talent in make S league an exciting and competitive league. Please do not let some restriction to disallow such a talented player in our shore. Below is the info of the club official website and the facebook page create for support. Thank you for the kind attention.
