Petition against the closure of EE call centres in the Philippines

I have created this petition so that we can show our dismay over the decision by EE to shut down the call centre operation in the Philippines. I believe that Filipino's offer a very high level of customer services and are a very hard working and conscience work force.

I further believe that the timing of this announcement is deeply insensitive. As I am sure you are aware, following the devastating typhoon which hit the Philippines late 2013, the Philippines and indeed Filipino people have had a lot of suffering and difficult circumstances to deal with. The loss of over 200 jobs and pulling out of the country is sending a negative message to the UK and other countries regarding the benefits of Philippine call centres and I am sure will lead to further loss of jobs for the Philippines and this very important industry and source of employment.

I am therefore calling for Filipino's in the UK and indeed other nationalities affected by this move to boycott EE as their service provider, and also write to EE to express their concern.

I would ask EE to review their decision as a matter of urgency. I encourage you all to sign this petition to demonstrate to EE that we object to the closure.
