Peter "Super" Carey played an Aussie rules football record of 448 league games for SANFL club Glenelg during the 70's and 80's (1971-1988). He played in 3 premierships 1973, 1985 and 1986.
He was Best on Ground in the 1973 grand final win playing in the forward lines. In 85-86 he was the captain.

We, the undersigned, call on the AFL to acknowledge in the Australian Hall of Fame the contributions to the great national game of the greats from within the SANFL such as Peter Carey. Also player such as Paul Bagshaw and Rick Davies.
It is time that the AFL becomes Australian and not Victorian selective.
