In the latest budget of 2014, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has set aside Rs. 200 crores in Budget 2014 for a giant statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state Gujarat.
Sardar Patel himself would have objected to money being spent in this way.The same can be utilized for more demanding areas, which will not only contribute to better economic reforms but also help in lessen the pain of common man.
Therefore I strongly urge that the same should be re-considered and the money re-invested to better usage.
We, the undersigned, call on the Ministry of INDIA to Null and Void the proposal for spending Rs.200 Crore for raising the statue of Honorable Leader Vallabhai Patel.
By the authority of Tax payers of this country we have full right to decide where the money collected by us should be spent and where it should not.
