We Are People Against Tolls

BIKERS AGAINST TOLLS (B.A.T) is a united conglomerate of independent motorcycle enthusiasts that oppose the tolling of Urban areas and National Hi-Ways.

Our stand is:

1. That E-Tolling of Urban Freeways is a poorly executed form of Taxation that will have a diverse effect on the economy. E-Tolls have been seen by this Government as a Cash-cow to prop up their incompetent financial management and inability to curb the annual theft of Billions of Rand from the State coffers. These Billions should have been used to pay for the road improvement. There Is no excuse. Scrap the E-Toll Projects.

2. National Tolls on Motorcycles are an unfair taxation as a Motorcycle that weighs 1/5th that of an SUV towing a Caravan. However we must pay the same fee, yet our choice of transport is discriminated against due to lack of the thinking process used in ascertaining Toll fees. We demand a free open lane for Motorcycles on all National roads, due to the Zero effect on road wear our bikes cause on these roads.

Our Motorcycles do NOT cause road damage.
Our Motorcycles do Not Cause traffic congestion.
Our Motorcycles do Not have equal Carbon Emissions to that of a Motor car.
Our Motorcycles do Not have an effect on National fuel security.
