Road works started In Dec 2007 in Short Nambour to create more car parks and improvement facilities.
Since the starting of road works Short Street has been partly closed off for customer to park near business they wish to visit and new car park area in front of 8 business has been introduced to a 2 hour parking limit. Thus leaving no parking for our consumers to visit our stores and has created anger in the community.
Staff from others business park in the 2 hour limit all day and the machinery that is use for the road works is left parked over 12 car parks and is blocked off. Business in this area are losing customers and revenue. The council did not inform us of the changes or allow us to give feedback before they started.
We have also lost car parks at the front of our stores for loading.
To change the new parking area to a 10 min parking limit & introduce loading zones and have a daily council inspector fine cars that park longer in the area.
