Parents should be allowed the flexibility to choose two weeks holiday per academic year as long as they so wish as long as it does not interfere with examinations.
No parent wishing to take their child out of school at a time that is convenient should be sanctioned.
I call on the UK government to debate the issue of term time holiday entitlement so that it is universal and flexible for family needs.
I also call on the UK government to remove sanctions against parents taking their children out of school as in difficult times people cannot afford the sanctions or to holiday during school holidays.
