#Children's Rights
Target:
President Obama
Region:
United States of America

Even though they're old enough to know right from wrong. They're not old enough to fully understand the full impact their actions have on not only themselves, but everyone around them.

All children deserve a second chance,no matter who they are or what they did. With these school shooters, they were constantly getting bullied, and felt that they had no choice, but to do it. Now, I'm not trying to justify what they did, and they need to be punished for it, but they shouldn't be condemned to spend the rest of their lives in prison.

They should be incarcerated in juvenile hall until they are 21,and while there they should be required to take both anger management classes and conflict resolution classes. They should also get counseling, and when they are released they should compensate their victim's families for all the pain and suffering their actions caused against them. Let's just get off of this dogma of "How much is a life worth". Because in truth,a life isn't worth anything. Now, don't get to thinking anything about me when I say this. It' s just a fact. Youthful offenders should be punished but not condemned to spend the rest of their lives in prison. Now don't get me wrong, I do feel very sorry for the victims families, but they need to realize that locking the kid away for the rest of his life isn't going to bring their loved ones back. The youthful offender will probably be able to be a valuable member of society when he gets out.

Now, we might meet up with a few flukes in the system, that are going to do it again, and they should be thrown in jail for the rest of their lives, but for the most part Juvenile hall will reform most youthful offenders.

We, the undersigned, call on you President Obama to outlaw charging kids as adults.
