Orange Cove hasn't had a police department since 1982 and since then population is growing and when that happens crime grows. Orange Cove residents complain about their not being a police department because the Fresno County Sheriff's Department isn't doing enough.
Orange Cove is getting to be known as a drug town and that's not good. Orange Cove has gangs that are ruining buildings by tagging them missing with people who can't defend themselves and robberies are occurring daily. Orange Cove Mayor Victor P.Lopez has said Orange Cove doesn't need a police department but Council says yes.
Orange Cove needs a Police Department. I I'm asking Orange Cove Residents to please sign the petition or voice out your opinions to our City Mayor and Council. Because nothing is going to feel safe in Orange Cove if we don't have a Police Department protecting us 24/7 Gangs and violence are growing just about everyday, and the last couple of years more homicides are occurring.
