NUS must support ending the occupation of Palestine

We the undersigned call upon members of the NUS NEC to vote for NUS to oppose the illegal occupation of Palestine in line with UN resolutions and to call for an end to the siege on Gaza at their meeting later this month (22 September 2011).

We believe that the NUS should mark the ‘International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People’ called by the UN by publishing a statement on the NUS website calling for the full implementation of UN resolutions as a first step towards showing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
