Petition Background (Preamble):
Toll hike ups! - North Shore to Pay for Sydney Roads. Bob Carr has put up the tolls on the Sydney Harbour so North Shore residents - whose roads are pitiful and in desperate need of roadwork - are funding roads in the West of Sydney. If there is a need for more funds for better roads then it should be in the form of a tax where everyone should contribute to the cost.
If North Shore residents have to pay this higher toll then the surplus should be spent on the roads in the North Shore!

We, the undersigned, believe that the new toll increase discriminates against North Shore residents. All NSW residents should be taxed for better roads in NSW.
