Hello readers,

The intent of this letter is to celebrate advancements made by Americans since their independence on July 4, 1776 from Great Britain. However the end to racism in America was accomplished nearly two decades (around 1985) ago, after the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. But before disagreement consumes our mind, body and soul let us gain understandings of the elements surrounding racism. Therefore we must revisit our past to reflect on racism for a moment: To begin, Blacks were killed, raped, lynched, and not allowed to use public facilities. Also they were not allowed to live where they wanted, rarely seen on television (unless they wore blackface), not paid for their work or services, and qualified- but lawfully denied loans.

Furthermore a black man couldn’t be seen on the street with a white woman vice or versa, required to sit at the back of the bus, denied invitation to restaurants, refused an education, and banned from participation in the voting process held in the United States of America. And during the entire history of America, until now (finally), the candidate for president was identified as being Caucasian, with an entire cabinet of other white men making decisions for the country.

The above paragraphs list the actions of the racist mentality during the era of racism. In the past racism was primarily determined by an action more so than verbal disrespect. But today Whites are considered racist for simply referring to Blacks as niggers, but as harsh as the word sounds- this doesn’t reach the level of racism. However, the white person who uses the word nigger is guilty of being inconsiderate of the tragedies, trials and tribulations of Blacks in America.

For those who argue that Blacks use the word nigger more than Whites are justified to conclude these findings through examination of conversation by mostly black youths, who developed usage of the word from their surroundings. In this case the end doesn’t justify any usage of the word nigger, meaning that Blacks in America should be angry with Whites who use the word, but angrier with themselves for allowing their children to refer to each other as niggers.

The consequences to not address those demeaning words (racist and nigger) creates the spirit of racism which should have ended decades ago, but continues to linger in this society due to our children being continually exposed to the words nigger and racist since birth. Of course racism is not only about how young black males have been reduced to refer to themselves as a nigger, but also about how white males have been reduced to think of themselves as racist due to repeated exposer to the words (racist, nigger) since birth. So now if Blacks, Whites, and others are to exist in America- the spirit of racism must end now.

To refer to any freed people as a nigger or racist undermines the achievements made in the struggle for liberty, freedom and justice in America. But although the struggle to unite as one continues, we (Americans) must realize racism is dead but the spirit of racism is alive because of the continual conditioning of our children by reference to them being racist and niggers.

For America to propel towards the future we must better understand this, America must exclude the words nigger and racist from its existence by making it a criminal offense to call someone a nigger or racist. The reason is because those words are of condemnation to America, and defamation to the character of any person. Furthermore, in order to be considered a nigger or racist, the allegations should have to be proven in court (misdemeanor offense). To do this Washington Parish should sign a petition to motivate their legislative branch of government to enact laws making it a criminal misdemeanor offense to refer to anyone as a nigger or racist without a conviction in court.

To ignite the phenomenon of the good life is to never add the claim of racism to a prejudicial event. The benefit to something so simple would be the right thing to do. Furthermore, if we as a people revisit our history, the reality would clearly prove that the American people of today haven’t displayed those same characteristics done by racist of the past, therefore white men of this era don’t deserve to be called a racist. But equally important, is that a free black society has proven to be much better than a nigger.

We, the undersigned, call on the Congressional House of Representatives and the world to officially declare the United States of America as a non-racist nation. The end to racism in America was accomplished nearly two decades (around 1985) ago after the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
