QR Australia will be moving the Port Botany Terminal to Moorebank Terminal (Currently the Defence Force Site). The impact of this development will be devastating not only to the environment but also to the local residents and local schools.
The Noise pollution will be constant with double decker freight trains coming in and out of the Terminal. Residents will also be impacted with increased Traffic congestion and increased safety risks to motorists and pedestrians with trucks picking up freight.
There are far more suitable alternatives further west however these will not be considered without the support of the local community to protest against the Moorebank Terminal.
