You would surely have a view about the need for more local jobs, more confidence in Tasmania and a balanced approach.
Many people say they’d like a change from a Minority Green controlled government where ‘the tail is wagging the dog’.
A majority of us think this is unfair, so when I was asked in parliament to support Greens Nick McKim, I chose to stick with Labor values to vote against McKim and Minority government.
We have many untapped opportunities in Tasmania, it is a great place to live yet we continue to be hamstrung by selfish Green control on many important issues holding back jobs, investment and lifestyle.
Tasmania has a bright future if we can be free from power deals that give the Greens control of our State. Sure there is a role for all parties to provide representation and we can’t deny individual achievements.
Yet we need Members of parliament who stay committed to the core values of the party they represent, without giving up values by doing deals that ultimately lets down the people who voted for them.
