Bill Butler MSP for Anniesland, proposed a motion that was passed in Parliament in November 2007, promoting a DVD called Sectarian Stories produced by Nil by Mouth a charitable organisation. The DVD was shown to various organisations such as church leaders, university dignatories, msp's and others.

The story of the dvd includes 12 people giving their version of events that they believed made them the victims of sectarian abuse. One particular storyteller has made false allegations in her story which appeared in the Sunday Herald newspaper on the 11/11/07 as part of the promotion of the dvd and the evening showing at Parliament a few nights later.

Nil by Mouth refused to allow me access to seeing the dvd in question, despite the fact that I was being accused of being sectarian, during the making of the dvd Nil by Mouth failed to contact me for my side of the story, and as a result slanderous allegations have been printed in the newspaper, and I also believe are contained in the dvd.

As a result of continuous correspondence, Nil by Mouth decided to remove my accuser from the dvd, as I could produce evidence that the newspaper article was not true, and as a result of this and further correspondence they have removed the dvd from being released.

Nil by Mouth have continually refused me access to the dvd to see for myself what they have allowed to be shown to Parliament and others.

CORKY'S STORY

I want the Scottish Parliament to revoke Bill Butler MSP's motion praising those involved with the documentary after hosting the premiere at the Scottish Parliament of "Sectarian Stories".

The dvd features 12 people who have contributed their stories, one in particular "a young woman who suffered a sustained campaign of sectarian abuse and intimidation" her story has been removed from the dvd due to the fact that she lied about her sectarian abuse.

Nil by Mouth have misled Parliament as well as church leaders, university dignatories and other organisations who supported them, and have failed to inform all parties present at the preview at Parliament that the dvd had to be edited, and eventually scrapped, and will not be shown to anyone.

Nil by Mouth have wasted taxpayers money on a dvd which had they fully investigated would not be bringing them into disrepute, and that their honesty, impartiality and integrity is seriously questionable.
