Lidl are proposing a relocation of its Scottish Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) to a site at Southdale, Armadale, one of Scotland’s largest and fastest growing regeneration projects.

The existing RDC in Livingston opened in 1996 and has since received several extensions creating a total warehouse area in excess of 28,000 sq metres. The new RDC, which would boast a total warehouse area of 48,000 sq metres, will open in late 2016 / early 2017 planning permission permitting.

Following a full community consultation, Lidl plan to lodge a detailed planning application for this development in late April 2015. At this point, Planning Officers and Councillors will consult with key stakeholders in order to decide whether to grant our application. We hope a decision on the planning application will be made Summer/Autumn 2015.

We the undersigned support the proposed development of a new Lidl Distribution Centre as part of the Southdale development in Armadale.

The New Lidl Distribution Centre in Armadale petition to West Lothian Council was written by Cameron Hall and is in the category City & Town Planning at GoPetition.
