Murrayhill Road Sidewalk Project
This petition was published by Dave Moore on Jan 10, 2005
We, the "property owners" of Madison Park, wish to register support for the Murrayhill Road Sidewalk Project. We believe beneficial for the following reasons:
1.Madison Park has many of its original residents. Sidewalks will provide a safe way to travel the neighborhood.
2.Madison Park, due to the current area development, is becoming a magnet for many young professionals, with families. They too need safe walks to:
a. Walk with their children (carriages).
b. Walk pets.
c. Safe route to/from schools.
d. Exercise/socialize.
e. Use neighborhood amenities.
3.Due to increased traffic surrounding MP, our streets are used as a cut through.
Existing speed humps have not controlled the traffic and speed issues.
4.Madison Park has the luxury of mature landscaping. The City indicates that @ 20 of the trees will be removed and make efforts to maintain existing trees.
We are requesting that the Murrayhill Road Sidewalk Project be reconsidered for 2005.
