Muncie Police should be accountable for disabling my fiance and stop reservoir beatings

My fiance was a victim of police brutality not once but twice. People say Muncie police always have been corrupt and always will be. They say beatings are a dime a dozen here. A few yrs ago an article in the Star Press talked about reservoir beatings and an FBI investigation taking place. Then it happened to us.

First a beating in 2009 with 5 officers and my fiance. Dash cams turned off and witnesses threatened. They broke his back and he sat in jail for 3 months no medical care. We got a lawyer but believe he was paid off. The last words he said to us back in 2010 was "I am going to meet with 5 prominent people from Muncie to talk about a settlement".

The second occurrence happened in April 2011 at a convenience store the police had let him go but then an unmarked car which we believed was a cop picked up my fiance took him to the reservoir roughed him up and stole his day's wages. The man in that car asked "Do you think you will get off that easy"? The old lady at the store was witness. She apologized for calling the police but has been robbed so often she was paranoid. I have wrote two mayors, Gov Daniels, spoke with Sergeants in Internal Affairs, lawyers and FBI. No one does anything. Steven is disabled for life and my family has been in more poverty and I have had to have counseling. This isn't just our problem it is a community problem that is getting worse all over. No one is above the law, not even officers.
