Since 1972, the Lakeway Municipal Utility District has provided water and wastewater services to thousands of area residents. In February, the Lakeway City Council proposed taking over Lakeway MUD. The Board of Directors of Lakeway MUD opposes this effort.
Simply put, Lakeway MUD wants to continue being an independent, nonprofit provider of safe, reliable water and wastewater services.
We, the undersigned, call on the Lakeway City Council to abandon its proposed takeover of the Lakeway Municipal Utility District.
