On 11/15/2012, President Obama is planning to visit New York to survey the recovery efforts of Hurricane Sandy. Far Rockaway, Beach Channel and Baywater, NY are areas severly affected by the storm and many are still without electricity, heat, or other basic human necessities that many take for granted. Many in this area feel forgotten among attention given to the region with regards to resources.
We are asking that President Obama visit the area to show that the Rockaways have not been forgotten. We are asking that you contact Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, Congressman Gregory Meeks, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Governor Andrew Cuomo and let them know that it would be good for the Rockaways, good for New York and good for America, if Mr Obama were to visit the area on 11/15/2012.
Mr. Obama, Mr. Schumer, Ms Gillibrand, Mr. Meeks, Mr. Bloomberg & Mr. Cuomo, I am asking you to visit the areas of Breezy Point, Beach Channel and Far Rockaway, NY on 11/15/2012.
