For years the Interior Design Program has been housed in the Library Square campus along with the Fashion Design Program. These programs were specifically targeted to be located in the downtown sectioon of Salt Lake City.
It makes sense to have these two programs located downtown and under the supervision of one director for both programs. Many companies related to the field of interior design are located in the hub of Salt Lake City.
Since students during the time they are pursuing their degree in Interior Design interface with these business, it becomes even more critical for the program to be located on a campus close to these organizations.
We, the students of the Salt Lake Community College, ask the administration of SLCC to return the Interior Design Program back to the Library Square Campus.
