Target:
North Carolina Legislature
Region:
United States of America

The presidential primary is too often decided before the people of North Carolina get a chance to vote. Time and time again the candidates that we might have preferred have been forced to drop out because they were not popular with the earliest voting states.
Whether you are conservative or liberal you are basically not given the chance to select from all the candidates.

If we could have our vote moved to earlier in the season, possibly the same day as the South Carolina primary, North Carolina would again be relevant in national politics.

I have called and written to our legislature with no response. May be more than one voice would help.

We the voting citizens of North Carolina call on the Legislature to move our primary election to an earlier date in the year. So that we have a voice in the selection of our national candidates.

Moving it to the same date as the South Carolina primary would give us relevance in the voting process and create a "Carolina primary" that would would take us from obscurity, to importance in the national election.

It would ensure that we have a choice of ALL the candidates, instead of what is left after the rest of the nation decides for us.
