Monitor care home fees. Stop major increases.

My Mother is 93 years old lives in a care home at Oak Tree Court, Wellington, Somerset and has lived there for 6 years. I (daughter) received a letter from the care home dated 28 November 2014 that they have requested a top fee of £125.00 per week to keep my Mother at her 'home'! This is an increase of £500.00 per month, which will double to what we are paying now! We cannot afford it.

So we have no alternative but to find another Care Home for my Mother, which may be outside of Somerset. This has caused my Mother a great deal of stress and I have already noted a deterioration in her health. 12 other families are also effected.

My Mother said today, she has not had a Christmas this year, because she is so worried and frightened as to what is going to happen in the new year, where will she go?
