Minimum Age of Consent for Sex with Adults

Whereas the House of Commons passed a Bill C-22 raising the age at which a boy or girl can consent to sex with an adult from 14 to 16 years, and

Whereas any further delay in passing this bill endagers the safety and dignity of these young men and women;

We the undersigned citizens of Canada ask that:

Senators convene a special session of the Senate to deal exclusively with this important piece of legislation, or

Senators fast-track passage of Bill C-22 immediately upon convening in September for the Fall Session.
