Mexican Americans make up a big portion of HCC - Central students, but HCC doesn't offer any Mexican-American lit courses.
There is a lot of literature that might not be covered in other lit classes but that is essential to understanding the Mexican-American identity.
This seems pretty important in a state where Mexican-Americans and other Latinos are gaining in numbers and influence.
We, the undersigned, call on the HCC - Central Administration and English Department to consider, design and implement a Mexican-American literature course.
