This petition is to obtain support for the provision of an orbital Metro Bus Service traveling around the Belfast A55 Ring Road.

At present the Metro Network operates 12 high frequency corridors operating into and out of Belfast city centre. This is an excellent resource however for anyone wishing to travel two or three miles around the ring road they have to journey into the city centre and back out again.

This makes the journey extremely long in terms of distance and time. A service where one could travel on the A55 circular route would be much quicker and convenient and would allow travellers to link with other high frequency corridors along the route. I believe this service would be useful in N,S,E and W Belfast.

In the East the service could stop at Knocknagoney or continue on to George Best City Airport and turn around and in the North it could turn around at Ballysillan Road/Antrim Road junction.

Translink inform me they have critically reviewed the service levels provided and a demand for such a service has not been identified but will hold my request on file.

I would be grateful if you would sign this petition if you would make use of this service.

We, the undersigned, support the submission for the provision of an A55 Belfast Ring Road Circular Metro Bus Service.
