Myself and several other cancer patients have been denied MRI's by medicaid. These were requested to make sure the cancer had not spread to the brain. If it had, a different or additional form of treatment is necessary. If a MRI is not done, we don't or will not know if it has spread or not. This is slacking on priority if you ask me.

I know people who have been approved for much lessor illness. I truly believe that we are thought of as, "Oh, they have cancer, they will die anyway, we will deny it and maybe if we hold out, they will be gone in a few months and we can save that money. It is disgusting and I am ashamed of the country that my dad, husband and brother in law fought for.

I used to believe in my government, I am no longer a believer, the only thing I do believe is that we are not important in the scheme of things, over looked, under paid and forgotten.

I am taking it upon myself to start this petition to our President of the United States in reference to the injustice of our Medicaid program.

Being denied MRI's for serious or terminal illness; such as a cancer patient being denied an MRI to see if cancer has spread to the brain. Without a MRI we don't know therefore it can't be caught and treated.

I am sick and tired of being over looked and forgotten by our government and I think we have a right to know if the panel that decides whether to approve or deny are medical professionals, qualified to know what is a priority.
