On December 8, 1980 Mark David Chapman committed the most heinous crime. Not only did he murder the former Beatle, but he did it to make a name for himself at John's expense.
For the last few years he has been treated for mental illness and now can pay the price for killing Lennon. Chapman has no chance of rehabilitation, parole, or chance in life. He had a clear motive when he killed Lennon.

Petition:
We, The fans of John Lennon, would like the court to reverse their decision about being in jail. It is important now that he is treated so that justice is served right. If he continues to live it becomes more unfair to the fans, friends, and family of John Winston Lennon.
