Make Queens Park West Drive a Safer Road For Children

I wish that I had started this petition sooner as it may have saved a life and prevented harm to several people.

The road that runs in front of our house can be quite hazardous to pedestrians, cars and cyclists alike. It is a busy road with lots of bends and is used to access the golf course, children’s playground Queens Park and Queens Park School.

Cars speed along this buys bit of road and use it as a cut through. There is no safe place for pedestrians to cross the road. Lots of children have to cross the road to reach the nearby school or to access the play area in the park.

After witnessing several car crashes and today a dog being hit and killed whilst on the lead as it’s owner was crossing the road I thought it is time to try and get something done about this.

Please sign up to this, as I don’t want to see any more dogs, people or cars involved in accidents along this dangerous bit of road.

I would like the council to put up some speed bumps as they have done on Queens Park South Drive to slow the traffic and make it a safer for everyone. Unfortunately too many drivers speed along this bit of road.
