Residents of Frisco City are dedicated to strengthening and growing Frisco City's economy, and improving the quality of life for people living and working here.
Our first economic initiative, is a move to revise Frisco City's liquor laws to change from a dry town to a wet town.
Dry towns are at an economic disadvantage because even those businesses and industries not directly connected to alcohol are reluctant to locate in a dry town. Dry towns such as Frisco City lack such things as upscale and national chain restaurants, suitable lodging, meeting space, entertainment, goods and supplies.
In the eyes of business owners and potential newcomers, dry communities are seen as close-minded and behind the times. Going wet will open up Frisco City to new businesses and new jobs.
Going wet is a valid and logical first step to building our economy and increasing our tax base.
We, the undersigned, call on the local laws to, allow a vote for the sale of alcohol, making Frisco City, Alabama a wet town within Monroe County, Alabama.
