It has come to my attention through my own dealings and through others that I have spoken to that Child and Family Services authority (Alberta) and Child Protection Services have violated a crystal clear fundamental right.
Section 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states: Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.
It's time they are held accountable for their actions, as the charter is in the constitution and is supreme law in Canada.
If you feel burned or that the government agency that claims to have "the best interest of the child" has to be held accountable and should face some consequences just like every other Canadian that violates a right, please feel free to sign.
It's time we take back our freedom against this criminals who are making a profit out of social inequality and from our country's most vulnerable, its children.
