Proposed use by Mike Hunter's restaurant to use Main Street Park from 4pm to 12 midnight for 5 years with an option for an additional 5 years.
The City Council of Rutherfordton is proposing the use of city property (Main Street Park) to be used solely by one for profit business on Main Street, to the detriment of the other businesses in Rutherfordton.
Preferential treatment is being shown to Mike Hunter with regards to use of the Main Street Park from 4pm to 12 midnight daily. This option was not provided to the other businesses on Main Street and will only profit one business not the whole of downtown Rutherfordton.
Please sign below NOT to allow the use of the Park to one person for a period of 5 years with an option for an addition five on the table.
