The current age of majority in the u.s is 18. The age of majority is when you can do whatever you want inside national and local laws. There are no parents to limit you when you reach this age.
Most teens want to be free from their parents before that. I think that 16 is a reasonable age. Most kids are sick of being considered minors by this time. Why give them two more years of limitations? They need freedom.
Please sign this petition if you want to be free of your parents sooner that 18 or you believe that children need less time in childhood.
