Target: Australia Parliament
Region: Australia
Background (Preamble):
Infertility is a problem that many women and even some men are forced to deal with. Their plans for starting a family have been put on hold due to medical or physical problems that are beyond their control and that make it difficult for them to get pregnant the natural way.
Thanks to advancements in the medical field there are many options and procedures that people can use in order to seek the help that they need to become pregnant. One of the most common procedure is IVF treatment. During this process the woman’s egg and the man’s sperm is united inside of a lab.
The embryos are then placed into the woman’s uterus through her cervix. It will take a few weeks to know whether or not this process has worked and if the woman was able to get pregnant with it. During this process the woman is undergoing ovulation induction with the help of fertility drugs. The doctors will also keep an eye on her hormone levels.
There are certain conditions and problems that either the man or woman will have to be dealing with in order to know whether or not they are candidates for the IVF treatment.
Because infertility is not a choice its a illness. We have a right to be able to have a family just like everyone else so why can't it be free? or more affordable choices? Like payment options!
