It was the year 1973. Hundreds of cars were in line at gas stations all over America due to the Opec fuel wars. A law was inacted permitting the US Government to control the rising cost of fuel. This was called "Project Independence."
Our US Government has the ability to decreae or increase the cost of fuel enabeling the consumer to live within their budget. We need to bring this to their attention again.
We, the people of the US of America, want the fuel prices to decrease at the pumps to benefit our budget to be able to meet the ever increasing cost of food and other non-perishable items for our family.
We request you inact the "1973 Project Independence" to control the ever increasing rise of fuel prices. This is a petition with signitures from the american people requesting you to lower fuel prices to meet our budget.
