London's Burning was a television drama programme produced by London Weekend Television and focused on the lives of Blue Watch firefighters.
While the station in the series was named Blackwall, which is the name of a small area in East London, the series was largely filmed around Bermondsey and Rotherhithe in South East London, and real local street names were often used.
It was broadcast between 1986 and 2002 on ITV. Near to the end of London's Burning it became more of a soap rather than focusing on the actual emergencys. This caused ratings to drop, and then finally the show was axed, the last episode being aired 25th August 2002.
The show aired nearly Twenty Years and then it just dissapeared. WE NEED TO GET IT BACK!
London's Burning was a very succesful drama series following the lives of a watch of firefighters. It aired for almost twenty years and then just disappeared.
