Changes have been recommended to the Logan Village Green by Logan City Council. There was very little public consultation prior the final plan being approved. In fact only two of the groups that use the Green were consulted before the final release. This is too narrow considering the large number of groups that use the Green.
The plan also removes the only two sporting facilities within the Village itself - a blow to the youth of the area.
The petition of residents of the Logan City Council draws to the attention of the Council the lack of consultation with the community of Logan Village as a whole, and in particular the users of the Logan Village Green, immediately prior the completion, and acceptance, of the Logan Village Green Master Plan by the Logan City Council.
Your petitioners therefore request the Council to place a moratorium on the instigation of this plan until such time as proper and thorough consultation of all Village Green stakeholders and interested parties has been carried out to the best of Council’s ability.
