We are embarrassed and highly disappointed in the behavior of the United States Olympic competitors, Ryan Lochte, Gunnar Benz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen in Brazil. They behaved in a manner to bring shame on the United States and need to not only apologize but also display remorse and make reparation to the people of Brazil.
It is a PRIVILEGE to represent the United States in any Olympics and we expect the chosen competitors to be briefed on how to behave as representatives of our country.
We the undersigned would like these four men, Ryan Lochte, Gunnar Benz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen, to return to Brazil for a period of no less than three months and teach swimming to the children of the barrio in the Olympic pools. This must be financed by them alone and must be done with the consultation of the Brazilian government.
This must be completed within one year of the end of the 2016 Olympics. If not, we request that their Olympic Medals be stripped from them and they are not allowed to be spokesmen or representatives of the Olympics forward.
