Cardiff County Council, Strategic Planning Department
Region:
United Kingdom

Cardiff Council has failed to inform it's citizens about the Local Development Plan Alternative Sites Consultation in a manner consistent with the Cardiff LDP Delivery Agreement.

Section 2.16 of the Cardiff LDP Delivery Agreement clearly states that:

"The Council will use a variety of methods to raise awareness and publicise progress of the LDP including press releases and web site information. This will include features in the Council News paper the Capital Times and Notices in the South Wales Echo."

This stage of the process has only been publicised in the Western Mail's Legal Notices section and therefore, we think it is fair to extend the consultation period to allow others a chance to send in a 'duly made response'.

We, the undersigned call on Cardiff County Council Strategic Planning Department to extend the Cardiff LDP Alternative Sites Consultation Period by a number of six weeks to allow for all members of the community to have a fair opportunity to make an informed response.

We also ask that you make people aware of this stage of the LDP process by using the awareness creation methods stated in Section 2.16 of the Cardiff LDP Delivery Agreement.

The Extend the Local Development Plan Alternative Sites Consulatation Period petition to Cardiff County Council, Strategic Planning Department was written by Daniel Hayes Mohamed and is in the category City & Town Planning at GoPetition.
