Following a brutal attack of an elderly citizen (which made front page news locally), and other incidents in which people have felt scared and intimidated..people are now very anxious about the safety of themselves and others whilst using a footpath.
This 2290ft footpath is situated in a wooded area between two housing estates, and ends at a main road near a primary school, which also leads to local amenities.
Other than two lights at the top of the lane there are none other, and no other measures have been taken to ensure public safety within this area.
We, the undersigned, call on Bridgend County Borough Council to improve safety in Kenfig Hill by installing street lighting and a fence running the length of a lane (known locally as 'The Twin Bridges') situated between Yr Hendre, Penrhyn, New Road finishing at Cae'r Wetral.
