Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign. Sadly, we didn't succeed in making the council think again about scrapping the weekly bin collection.
Numerous councils have cut weekly refuse collections to cut costs. We are concerned that Labour councillors in Newcastle are developing plans in secret to cut our bin collections to fortnightly and this petition is one part of our campaign to save the weekly bin collection.
