Kuroko no Basuke (Kuroko's Basketball) has proven to have massive popularity with an overseas, English speaking audience. From twitter to tumblr there are KnB fans in their masses who need to resort to mostly illegal and fan translated sources to read their favourite manga series.
Viz Media and Shounen Jump have published the manga in Europe in the French language but has not been translated into English with "Sports Manga are not popular" cited as the reason. But is that a good enough reason... is KnB truly a "sports" manga or is it a High School drama with hugely likeable characters whom are loved by both male and female manga lovers alike?
We think it's about time KnB saw an English translated released to a western market.
We, the undersigned, call on Viz Media to translate into English and publish in the west volumes of Kuroko no Basuke.
