RSN Vermin control will be conducting pest control at Peninsula Kingswood Golf Club in Dingley Village on the last friday of every month between 8.30pm & 12 until march 2017. They claim that all pest control is conducted by professional hunters in a "safe & humane" manner! As well as the targetted foxes they are also likely to cause collateral damage to other protected & endangered wildlife as well as terrifying all local wildlife, local domestic pets & children.
If the golf club needs to control populations why can't they trap, neuter & release which is the most effective and humane way to control populations of introduced species, as the slaughter of these animals only leads to more breeding and roaming/exchange between communities.
TNR ensures that communities are intact and as breeding becomes impossible then populations are controlled. Above all, animals do not need to suffer! We brought these beautiful animals to Australia and we cannot just dispose of them brutally because we think they are damaging this country.
If this cull proceeds & the fox numbers are drastically reduced this will inevitably lead to rabbit, mouse & rat populations dramatically increasing due to lack of predators.
