The old pony club at Oxenford QLD 4210 has been there for many years and has always been an equine only facility.
Since the pony club has moved the old PC grounds have become very popular for people who want to ride their horse or have lessons with out having to be a member of a pony club or travel to Nerang's 'Tom Rose Park', and especially for people who keep their horse's in the area as they have no way to transport their horse's to other facilities.
Oxenford was designed and marketed as a horse friendly area however is now becoming an area with very limited horse facilities.
GCCC plans to demolish the facilities at the old Oxenford pony club ground to make a cricket ground when there is already a cricket ground right behind the PC grounds!!
This is set to happen within the next two weeks so we need to act fast to save our grounds!! There is no need for the horse community to loose a well used and loved facility for the sake of a cricket ground when there is already a perfectly good one right next door!
