The Viper Beer Festival has been running for the past 9 years and has been drawing locals and visitors alike to enjoy the entertainment over a Bank Holiday weekend. Hundreds of people have attended this twice a year event to enjoy a fine selection of real ales, cider and good food and of course the LIVE MUSIC!
We are lucky enough to have a great selection of live bands who play to a varied audience, young and old, including our neighbours from across the road and families from the village. The event also employs many local young people who come back year after year.
Unfortunately there has been a complaint from one neighbour about noise pollution and the event has been monitored by Environmental Health. They have told us that any future Temporary Events Notices will be refused, which would sadly be the end of The Viper Beer Festival.
This is a very important event for us as we love seeing so many happy people enjoying themselves in a safe and friendly environment. It also brings the much needed revenue to keep the pub running year round, at a time when there are 4 pubs closing in the UK every day.
